LIBRARY VOLUNTEER TUTORS TO BE GUESTS OF HONOR AT THE OUTBACK LUNCHEON

Pictured are Kay Ham who is a volunteer tutor and Jane Douglas who is the Literacy Program director at the Pioneer Library System (PLS).  They were the club meeting program on August 16th.  Jane explained the tutor program at the PLS and Kay talked about the various persons she has tutored since joining the program.  Currently, the Literacy Program at the PLS utilizes more than 80 tutors to help adults learn to read, write, and speak English.

To show appreciation, club members are encouraged to purchase an additional ticket so a volunteer tutor may attend the Outback Luncheon as a guest of the Cross Timbers Rotary Club.
